Why can't the properties of a media that is in the Direct CD format be shown?
The properties of CD-R/RW in Direct CD format cannot be shown. Normally, the used space instead of free space will be shown.
On those computers where Direct CD is not pre-installed, the writable free space will not be shown in the properties of the CD-ROM drive at the default state.
Only Sony VAIO computers with Direct CD pre-installed can display the writable free space when a CD-R/RW formatted using Direct CD is inserted.
Note: Drag'n Drop CD does not show the writable free space as it does not support packet writing.
